Kathy worked in a in-patient psychiatric hospital for ten years and then worked for the past 15 years in the community as Mental Health working, specializing in Early Intervention for Psychosis.  The social work counseling sessions involved Cognitive Behavioral Therapy , Narrative and Brief-Solution Focused Therapy.There has been a constant drive to learn more about the mind/body connection. 

In addition to healing touch treatments Kathy shares her knowledge of reflexology and cranial sacral.  Most recently Kathy has learned about how sound affects the body and has now incorporated sound therapy into her treatments.

In general, Kathy loves hearing about how the body is responding to its experiences and how, with support and coaching, the body can find its own way to feel better.  Listening to the stories, and how a person has lives their dreams has been a fascination, and the most recent addition to her interests the indigenous history and the learning the ways of nature as additional healing methods

Sessions are offered in person (when able to do so), by telephone, or by zoom.

As a Board-certified Healing Touch practitioner, past secretary on the Board of Directors for Healing Beyond Borders, founder of Ebb & Flow ™ and founder and facilitator of the integrative Health Academy of the National Wellness Institute, Denise blends heart-centered leadership with the neuroscience of contemplative wisdom practices, biofield energy therapies, and sensory movement to promote healing and wholeness in the world.
