Helping people manage chronic illness, pain, tension and anxiety, and assistance with the dying process are areas of special interest in her practice. Chronic illness is something the health care system struggles to manage. If we work with the person and how the illness impairs their life, we can find ways to increase meaning and quality of life for them. Bonnie Johnson RN MS CHTP/I is a Certified Healing Touch Practitioner/ Instructor, Certified Holistic Nurse and Child Development Specialist with over 50 years of experience in nursing, counseling and educating adults and children.  In 1990, she opened a holistic nursing practice, providing energetic healing and lifestyle counseling in Nashville, Tennessee.  Bonnie has developed and published numerous healing techniques, including the Amygdala Connection (with Marty Rather). She extends her healing efforts toward the earth by planting and protecting trees.

My background is nursing. I've had expereince in Medical/Surgical nursing and was a Board Certified Psychiatric/Mental Health Advanced Practice Nurse for over 30 years. I recently retired my licenses to focus more on Energy Medicine, including Biofield Tuning. I have a full time practice providing in-person and remote Energy work and Coaching/Mentoring. 

I have extensive history/experience of working with many types of trauma. My practice focuses on helping people heal from physical, emotional and spiritual traumas and physical illness. 

Long interested in integrative therapies, my journey with Healing Touch began in 2002. I was deeply moved by the work & witnessed positive effects for so many people. I became a Certified Healing Touch Practitioner through HTI/HBB in 2009 & Certified Healing Touch Instructor in 2013.  I have a private practice, serve as the coordinator for the B;ue Ridge Shenandoah Healing Touch Practice Group & the Mentorship Group , coordinator for Healing Touh classes, a Level 1 Instructor & a Mentor for Apprentices of Healing Touch.

I am a BSN RN and  work as a Registered Nurse, charge nurse on a pediatric/adult medical surgical inpatient unit. I served as the Interim Clinical Educator, Pediatrics for SRMH from 8/2011-12/2014. I work as a Healing Touch coordinator & volunteer to offer a monthly Healing Touch clinic to staff of SRMH through in Circle-of-Care.

My intention is to be a healing presence through the heart centered practice & teaching of Healing Touch & to support an integrative approach to health & healing. I find this path to be a rich exploration of self- care & an ever-deepening experience of the mind, body, & spirit connection & a deep blessing in my life.

Kathleen Scacciaferro, R.N., M.S.A., Certified Healing Touch Practitioner/Instructor. She is an Adjunct Faculty of the Collegel of Nursing & Health Sciences at the University of Vermont where she teaches HT 1, 2, & 3, Energy Medicine, Meridians, and a Survey of CAM.  She also travels to teach in the community including HT 4. Kathleen is the School Nurse at Vergennes Union High School, Vergennes, Vermont, where she promotes a holistic health focus including HT.Kathleen traveled and studied Eastern Medicine in India, China and Outer Mongolia. I have been in private practice as an intuitive energy healer for 20 years. My foundation in energy work was with Healing Touch International, and after extensive study and mentorship I became a Certified Healing Touch® Practitioner. 
I went on to study at Delphi University School of Spiritual Studies in Georgia and completed my Doctor level training as a RoHun Therapist.  I have also trained with indigenous healers such as Dr. Rangimarie Turuki Rose Pere, Maori Tohuna Tipua from New Zealand, and Swami Sally Perry, Spirit Medicine, Native American medicine women from Virginia. Through this study I have been introduced to the healing ways and wisdom of the Ancient Ones.  I am also an ordained Minister.

My greatest joy is to co-create healing with my clients and to train and empower them to help themselves. Each healing session is tailored to their specific needs, as Spirit guides us to serve their best and highest good. “I help the people to help themselves to heal at all levels and to find their joy.” 

I have combined my passion for art and healing with the creation of hand painted healing mandalas that capture the healing energy of the client’s Higher Self.  I offer workshops on the creation of these mandalas to help my clients to rekindle and “Awaken the Creative Spirit” in themselves. Became an RN in 1967. Worked as a supervior in a Nursing Home for 2 years before working in Hospitals in St Louis and El Paso as staff nurse, assistant head nurse and head nurse. Attended the Masters NP program in Salt Lake City at the University of Utah. Became a Gerontological Nurse Practitioner in 1982. Moved to Waco, TX in 1983 where I have worked  as a Clinical Specialist in a long term unit of the VAMC, an Instructor in the ADN program at McLennan Community College, and as a Research Coordinator at the Arthritis and Osteoporosis Clinic. In the Fall of 2013 I began a part time position as an NP with the House Calls program for United Health Care.

I started my Healing Touch journey with levels 1, 2a and 2b in Austin, TX between 1996-1997. I continued to practice on family and friends and waited until 2003 to take Level 4. I was in my mentorship for 4 years with Diane Wardell. My Level 5 class was in 2013 and I was certified as a CHTP in Aug. 2014. I also work as a volunteer with Providence Hospice. I am an active member of the Central Texas Chapter of AHNA.

As an RN, Barbara attended the University of North Carolina and worked as Nurse Manager of the Duke Medical Center Cardiac Care Unit. She graduated with High Honors from Clayton College of Natural Health with a graduate degree in Holistic Wellness and currently is founding director of Haelen Health, an Integrative Healthcare collaborative in Roanoke, Virginia. Somehow along the way, Barbara raised three children and ran an organic family farm outside of Boston, Massachusetts for over 20 years.

Barbara has always felt there is more to being human than maintaining parts of a machine and delved into searching for ways to pull things together into a meaningful gestalt.  How do we connect from the basic to the divine - our bodies, our psyche, our homes, our gardens, our cities, our spirit? In the course of this search, she has explored many paths, spiritual and alternative philosophies, and found HBB to be the most compelling and enriching. She achieved certification in 2012.

She is currently in private practice and serves as adjuct faculty at ECPI University, Roanoke VA. She was named Teacher of the Year 2014 by the Virignia Association of Career Colleges.
