Mary Fuxa, Certified Healing Touch Practitioner, RN, BSN, has been in the nursing field for over 35 years. She has worked primarily in Obstetrics, having the honor to work with women and their families in all aspects of the birthing process. She also has worked with nursing students as a clinical instructor in the OB unit.
Mary's passion for healing made itself known when she was only 4 years old and living on a farm. She held a belief that if you gave your unconditional love to those who needed it, you could heal them. "My clients in those days were the farm animals". This strong desire to help others led her into nursing. For many years it was a wonderful way to assist others. In the later years, it became clear that her time with the patients was becoming more task orientated and less of personal contact.
Feeling the need to find a better way to help others, she began to explore other options such as a Holistic Nursing. It was through this avenue that she found "Healing Touch". "After the first class, I knew I was hooked. It was everything that I had ever believed in and here it was being offered in a mainstream continuing education format with research to back it. For years I had meditated, prayed, studied and attended seminars relating to healing . Now here was a way to offer this modality in a credible and acceptable manner to those unfamiliar with energy work".
Mary continued her study with "Healing Touch For Animals" (where it all began years ago). In an attempt to enhance her work and love for animals, Mary has studied, practiced and now also includes Animal Communication in her offerings. The learning will never stop and the healing techniques will grow and change as well, all for the benefit of the recipient." Her own personal experience with spontaneous healings and alternative healing methods has been her motivation to become a Certified Healing Touch Practitioner. Mary also has expanded her work to clear energy in homes and businesses as well, helping to clear not only negative energies but also earthbound spirits.
Mary has a wonderful supportive family consisting of her husband Don, three grown children and their spouses, seven grandchildren, one cat, two "grand-dogs and four grand-cats".
