I discovered Healing Touch in 2007 through a class at the University of Michigan and managed a Healing Touch clinic in Ann Arbor for 2 years, then became certified in 2013.

I've been an RN for 28 years and work at Mott Children's Hopsital with the Congenital Heart Children as the Pre-Surgery Nurse Coordinator.   I just recently joined the Back and Pain Center at Burlington Buidling as part of the Michigan Medicine Non-Pharmacological Pain Management Program as their Certified Healing Touch Practitioner.

I'm also a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance and incorporate what I've learned about energy and the body into my practice and use breathwork, meditation and yoga as part of my offerings to my patients as stand alone sessions or as part of their own self-care plan.  

Healing Touch started me on a life long journey of healing and self-awareness that has been rewarding for myself and sets an example for my 3 children to help others and to help themselves.   I have experienced many non-pharmacological stratagies for my own personal health and healing and can offer this knowledge to my patients who are seeking alternative methods for pain and anxiety management as well as overall health and wellness benefits.

I am a RN and a Certified Healing Touch Practitioner, having recently retired from a rich 20 years of teaching Healing Touch.  Since 1995, I maintain a private holistic nursing practice specializng in Healing Touch. I am a past member of the Board of Directors as well as a Charter member of Healing Beyond Borders.

I have recently moved to Fenton, MI and continue to serve patients in my private practice.

After experiencing her first Healing Touch session, Cathy was hooked. Wanting to spread the beauty of Healing Touch, she became Certified as a Healing Touch Practitioner and then Instructor. Cathy retired from a career in Accounting and opened her Healing Touch practice - Peace Within Healing Touch, L3C. She is a Reiki Master/Instructor and has studied Sacred Geometry. In addition to teaching Foundations of Healing Touch: Course 1, Cathy mentors Certification students and offers practice sessions for new students. She continues to work privately with clients - both in person and remotely, and volunteers as often as she can, providing complimentary sessions to those in need. As a member of Healing Beyond Borders, Cathy serves on the Marketing/Membership Committee and is a member of the Biofield Research Interest Group. She serves as a volunteer practitioner and the Board Treasurer for the Healing Touch Center in Farmington Hills, MI, and is a member of the American Holistic Nurses Association.

Cathy enjoys presenting Healing Touch information sessions to a variety of groups. These sessions include a mini chair session so that all in attendance can experience, firsthand, the beauty of Healing Touch.

My mission is to educate and guide people around the world to embrace effective holistic self-care strategies for balanced, joyful living and continuous total healing. In the 10+ years I have been working with clients, I have assisted in a variety of healings and helping people learn how to manage their stress proactively which strengthens the nervous system and immune system.  I created and taught a Stress Management class combined with studies of psychoneuroimmunology and energy psychology to  help clients find the strategies that work best for their lifestyle and spirit. 

Remote sessions and face to face sessions are both possible. I have successfully remotely worked on clients across the USA, Italy, Iraq, Turkey, Palestine, and India.  I am open to travel to your home in Michigan, work in my office space, or outside in the healing gardens for face to face sessions. I have been an RN since 1983, and APRN since 1987. Currently I am Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Nurse Specialist. (FNP-BC, CNS-BC & CHTP)  I work at the VA Saginaw MI. Having studied Nursing and  lived in California for many years, in 2015 I relocated back to my state of origin, Michigan.  I completed my CHTP having started with my first class in 2003 at the Naval Medical Center San Diego CA.  I took a course via VA West Los Angeles CA, then completed my HT work with my mentor Liz Fraser from Scripps Center for Integrative Medicine (SCIM) San Diego CA.  I now live on a Farm in rural Michigan, and would like to become established with  a HT network in Michigan.  I am an Advocate for Veterans access to Integrative services and HT.       

David stumbled upon alternative medicine when he had medical issues that couldn’t be solved with western medical approaches alone.  “I was humbled, what I learned in college about the body/mind connection was incomplete.”  This realization marked the beginning of a new chapter for David and he started a journey to understand the underpinnings of complementary healing modalities.

He began to study with spiritual healing teachers who taught him esoteric healing practices that were used by Shaman, and Taoist Priests.  He also studied with Nurses who practice the art of Healing Touch.
