Sam became a Healing Touch Practitioner in 2021. She attended Tennessee State University for her Masters of Science in Nursing and received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Harding University. She has worked in multiple health care settings as both a nurse and a nurse practitioner since 2011. Sam currently works as a Nurse Practitioner at IVX Health and is the owner of Strange Morel.  

Sam first learned about Healing Touch during graduate school in 2016 and has been exploring energy medicine ever since. She is passionate about wholistic health promotion. Her experience with Healing Touch has provided her with the opportunity to develop greater self-awareness and find healing in her own life. Sam is excited to share Healing Touch with others as they discover what healing means for their unique journey. 

Valorie Knowlton RN, BA, CHTP/I received her nursing degree from Atlantic Union College in Massachusetts, and has a BA in Human Development from Eckerd College in Sarasota, Florida. With over 40 years nursing experience her professional career has incorporated Cardiac Intensive Care, including Open Heart and Cardiovascular Lab, Home Health, and Hospice. Since 2009 she’s worked at Sarasota Interventional Radiology and is dedicated to holistic/integrative ways of practicing and is recognized for her compassionate heart and Healing Touch practice. Valorie has a special affection for the elderly, helping patients cope with cancer, pain, trauma, and the importance self-care.

In the early 1990’s as her life and career developed she began to search for deeper meaning and purpose in life because she felt like “something was missing.” After experiencing Reiki I/II and other integrative approaches to health she was introduced to Healing Touch in 2002. In her first class she felt like she had finally “come home” and knew one day she would teach this work. In 2007 she received her Certification as a Healing Touch Practitioner, and had a private practice in the Village of the Arts in Bradenton, Florida where she and her husband owned The Village Bookshop and The Healing Cottage, 2005-2010. In 2012 she received her Certification as a Healing Touch Instructor for Course 1. She currently teaches classes in Sarasota, Fort Lauderdale, and James Haley VA hospital in Tampa, and has a Healing Touch practice in her home.

Valorie is passionate about HT and teaches with wisdom, compassion and an open heart. She believes that we all have a divine light that is within us and Healing Touch is one way that allows the individual the ability to ignite that light to its fullest potential so we may have greater meaning and purpose in life. As a Healing Touch instructor it is her desire that each student grow to their fullest potential and “BE the light they are meant to be in the world.”   

Michele Bernhardt is a Certified Healing Touch Practitioner and Reiki Master/Instructor in Asheville, NC who specializes in treating clients who are experiencing stress or anxiety, undergoing treatment for cancer, or in hospice. Michele also teaches energy balancing self care workshops to groups and individuals.  Her clinical experience includes Stanford Healthcare's Healing Partners program and the San Francisco VA Hospital. She is currently a Healing Touch volunteer with Solace Hospice.  Michele is past president of Healing Touch California, a state-wide 501(c) non-profit and previously chaired HBB's communications committee. She is a seasoned public speaker on topics related to energy healing.

Kathy has been a certified Healing Touch Practitioner since 2016. She specializes in working with people experiencing grief, loss, chronic/acute injuries, trauma, and/or desiring an overall balance in life. In addition to her Energy work, she has been training clients in the Fitness field for the last 30 years. Kathy is a mother, wife, teacher, healer, lover of animals, plants, music and movement. She believes healing is part of living, transforming and expanding. Kathy offers Healing Touch sessions in her home and considers it is an honor to partner with her clients in their journey of self healing.

Energy healing has had a profound, positive impact in my life, and I am passionate about sharing the benefits with others.

As a Certified Healing Touch Practitioner, my goal is to to facilitate your self-healing process through this gentle, subtle, yet profound energy therapy.

I’m constantly delighted by the shifts that can take place during or after an energy healing session. I love it when a client tells me “I slept through the night,” or “My headache is gone!” or, “I’ve had an insight into my situation, I can deal with this.” That’s why I do this work.

I offer a safe and nurturing atmosphere in which to help you get grounded, find balance, and feel renewed. My practice is based in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
