Certified as a practitioner since 1998 and and instructor since 2002, Sue lives and works in Rochester, Minnesota.  Her nursing experience includes, med/surg, ICU, MICU, SICU, Family Practice, Labor and Delivery, Nursery, Senior Living area and Integrative Medicine (in a hospital setting).  Sue also worked in Denver for about 7 months, assisting Janet Mentgen in writing syllibi for levels 1-3 in 2003.  She is currently in private practice and teaches levels 1 & 2 for Healing Beyond Borders. 

I am a Certified Healing Touch Practitioner & Certified Health Coach working on a Masters in Psychology (LCP). 

My journey with healing began fifteen years ago, when at a very young age I began to suffer from generalized anxiety disorder accompanied by severe panic attacks. I felt lost and confused, and did not want to take medication for the rest of my life. I became severely depressed and did not know where to turn. I began to pray and asked God to guide me. My prayers were heard and I was led to take back charge of my life. I empowered myself with knowledge and had a total lifestyle change. After years of working in the medical field I came across Healing Touch and knew I found my calling. I am an empathic / intuitive lightworker who has a mission to lead others to their own healing. I combine holistic methods (diet, nutrition, healing touch, and counseling) to help my clients achieve wellness.  

By appointment, I visit clients in their homes providing Healing Touch treatments to promote relaxation, reduce pain and stress. Experience seeing clients prior and post surgical procedures, those receiving treatment for cancer and others wishing to promote their immune system and support their body's natural ability to heal.

I also serve as a Healing Touch Volunteer at Greenwich Hospital. I provide Healing Touch to individuals in various departments including Oncology, Medical/Surgical Units, Maternity, Labor and Delivery and Physical Medicine.

Melissa has personally been a life long student of alternative healing modalities, studying the work of and attending lectures given by leaders in the field such as Louise Hay, Caroline Myss, Wayne Dyer, Deepak Chopra, Andrew Weil and Jack Kornfield.  

​Looking to broaden her knowledge and be of service to others, Melissa furthered her education by completing the five rigorous levels of Healing Touch classes endorsed by the American Holistic Nurses Association.  After completing these classes, as well as a two year apprenticeship, Melissa earned her Healing Touch certification in May 2018. 

Melissa is a Certified Healing Touch Practitioner (CHTP) and a member of Healing Beyond Borders.
