Denise DeForest Pastoor lives her passion to teach Integrative Health practices of yoga, mindfulness, and meditation.  With 35 years experience as a psychiatric clinical nurse specialist and holistic wellness educator, she teaches powerful skills in self-healing and personal growth.  Through her holistic psychotherapy and integrative health consulting practice, SunStone Wellness, LLC, she is a featured presenter and workshop facilitator at national healthcare conferences, community programs, and business organizations. Denise has published numerous articles on integrative health, created a YouTube video on Healing Touch, and has recorded a 5-star reviewed guided meditation CD, Creating Calm Within.. As a Board-certified Healing Touch practitioner, past secretary on the Board of Directors for Healing Beyond Borders, founder of Ebb & Flow ™ and founder and facilitator of the integrative Health Academy of the National Wellness Institute, Denise blends heart-centered leadership with the neuroscience of contemplative wisdom practices, biofield energy therapies, and sensory movement to promote healing and wholeness in the world.  

My journey in energy work started in 2010 and I have been a Certified Healing Touch Practitioner since 2013. I also have a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. I offer Healing Touch sessions at eZential Wellness Center in Branchburg, NJ as well as personal sessions in client's home and provide my own massage table and relaxing music to create a safe, calming and relaxing space. 

Having spent over 28 years working in the healthcare industry as a pharmaceutical representative trained in promoting products that treat such conditions as pain and inflammation, arthritis, sleep, and cardiovascular disease as well as in my current position working for a surgical spine practice, I have learned the importance of evidence-based medicine. Clinical trials can show the effectiveness of any treatment. This is one reason why I gravitated towards Healing Touch; it is an energy modality which is standardized throughout the world and has been proven to be an effective treatment in clinical trials. 

During the past 8 years, I have personally witnessed the power of incorporating Healing Touch and Integrative Therapies with traditional Western Clinical Practices validating its impact on health and overall wellbeing. Energy Work, such as heart-centered Healing Touch, focuses on clearing, energizing and balancing the energy field which enhances the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual aspects of the individual. Healing Touch can be beneficial for helping clients with many conditions including stress, pain, anxiety, sleep, cancer, pre and post-surgical procedures or part of a self-care regimen.

Therese Berry-Hyatt is a Certified Healing Touch Practitioner, Board Certified Holistic Nurse, Aromatherapist, and Health and Wellness Coach.  She is in private practice in St. Louis, MO, at Holistic Total Healing.  She helped develop the Whole Health transformation of care for veterans at STLVA as the first Holistic Nurse on the Integrative Medicine Clinical Team.  She has assisted people with complex illnesses, PTSD, chronic pain, and anxiety, to improve their quality of life and heal.  She is a member of Healing Beyond Borders, the American Holistic Nurses Association and Healing Touch St. Louis.

Therese guides people individually or in groups with their healing.  Along with Healing Touch, she uses therapeutic art and music, guided imagery, aromatherapy, food choices, connecting with nature, and mindfulness to enhance the Mind/Body/Spirit connection.

I experienced my first energetic healing session in 2008. While struggling with a medical issue, a friend suggested Healing Touch, and I was hooked! Wanting to spread the beauty of Healing Touch, I retired from a career in Accounting and opened my Healing Touch practice - Peace Within Healing Touch, L3C. I was Certified as a Healing Touch Practitioner and then Instructor. Additionally, I am a Reiki Master/Instructor and have studied Sacred Geometry.

In addition to teaching Foundations of Healing Touch: Course 1, I work privately with clients - both in person and remotely. I mentor Certification students and offer practice sessions for new students. I am a member of Healing Beyond Borders (serving on the Marketing/Membership Committee and as a member of the Biofield Research Interest Group), the Healing Touch Center in Farmington Hills, MI (serving as a volunteer practitioner and the Board Treasurer), and the American Holistic Nurses Association.

I have presented Healing Touch information sessions to a variety of groups, which always includes a mini chair session so that all in attendance can experience, firsthand, the beauty of Healing Touch.
